Light weight yet durable construction: At only 2.9 oz the Prophy-Lite is extremely light weight. While it is slightly heavier than the MidwestTM RDHTM the added weight is due to the Prophy-lite’s stainless steel rotor housing verses the aluminum housing of the RDHTM. While stainless steel adds a few ounces to the over all weight the increase in durability can not be match when compared to aluminum. The Prophy-Lite is not only LIGHT but it LASTS!
The central swivel feature and the easy push-on/pull-off angle installation of the Prophy-Lite make changing out prophy angles quick and easy and allows the clinician to rotate the prophy angle easily with out the resistance of the handpiece tubing.
Removable nose piece: Allows broken disposable prophy angles to be easily removed by simply removing the front nose piece. The RDHTM with its fixed nose cone requires broken angles to be removed at the factory – at considerable cost to the office (of course)! One broken angle and you will wish you had a Prophy-Lite!
Lube Free! Special sealed pre-lubed bearing require almost no maintenance. All that is required is occasional application of cleaner and conditioner lube (supplied). Go from the autoclave to the handpiece tubing with out lube – what a relief.
